TimberLab continues a long history of a working involvement with many sections of the timber industry - manufacture, research and design; both nationally and internationally.
WPMA - Representing Engineered Timber Manufacturers, TimberLab is an active member of the Wood Processors and Manufacturers Association, WPMA and serves on its Board.
PINENZ – is a Certified Quality Mark for Glulam. TimberLab holds certification for ASNZS1328 and AS5068 covering Glulam and Finger jointing International Standards.
Timber Design Society – An active group of engineers, architects and manufacturers committed to advancing the cause of innovative Engineered Timber design.
SCION – TimberLab participates with SCION – NZ’s forest research institute – in developments and advancements in researching the performance and potential for timber use.
University Research - units in Auckland and Canterbury Universities. TimberLab has been involved in various testing regimes in exploring new possibilities with engineered timber.
NZ Trade & Export – TimberLab works closely with NZT&E in developing and exploring international possibilities for engineered timber projects.
Students – TimberLab regularly lectures at NZ Universities and Technical & Design institutes on the developing capabilities in the manufacture of engineered timber structures. Groups from architectural and engineering schools are regular visitors to the TimberLab plant to view manufacturing operations.
Seminars - TimberLab is a regular contributor at technical seminars, bringing insights from manufacturing and build-ability viewpoints.
International Presentations –Around 60% of our production is for the international market and as a consequence, TimberLab is regularly called on to present at conferences, seminars and design groups overseas.
